Concepts: Nokia N18 with Dual Core Processor Concept
Concepts of mobile phones does not necessarily embody some incredibly futuristic ideas of the authors, sometimes much better to specify a manufacturer for its small or large defects. This is the concept of asmartphone Nokia N18: for all its undoubted virtues products of the Finnish company today rather inferior devices from competitors.
We’re back with the usual series of Nokia concept phones, this time with the N18 model. This one runs Symbian^3, uses a dual core 1GHz CPU and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. The design was created by shihuzaan, that also includes a 4 inch Gorilla Glass Display (Clear Black AMOLED). Nokia N18 supports a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, it comes with 512MB RAM, 16GB of internal memory and up to 64GB of external memory. There’s also an 8 megapxiel Carl Zeiss camera at the back, with autofocus, an ND filter, geotagging, face detection and 1080p 30 fps video capture. The case uses the usual anodize aluminum layer and the device is also NFC capable.
Concepts: Fujistu ECOPAD Tablet Concept
Electricity is made automatically simply by using your
‘ecopad’. currently commercialized tablet PCs and smart
phones have a very limited battery life – often not more than
a day before having to be recharged. on average, people
press their touch screens over 10,000 times a day. the
‘ecopad’ does not require special charging from an adaptor.
Statistically on an average, users press their touch screens
over 10,000 times a day. Ingenious system dubbed simply as
the Ecopad, where the tablet or any similar device can utilize
the piezoelectricity generated by that ‘tapping’ of touch
screens. This in effect forgoes the need for those cumbersome
adapters (and any power source for that matter), while the
device can literally be self powered throughout a period of
days. For those who are not acquainted with piezoelectricity
– it is the charge which accumulates in certain solid
materials (notably crystals, certain ceramics, and biological
matter such as bone, DNA and various proteins) in response
to applied mechanical strain.
Concepts: X Box Dream Console Of the Future Concept
Joseph Dumary from Carrieres-Sous-Poissy in France has launched a project called ‘Xbox Dream for 2012?. This concept Xbox has been designed for the year 2012, and aims to make the console a wireless and clutterless gaming device. It comes with DP connect that allows you to connect your TV or computer screens to the console system without any cable. This means, you could bid goodbye to VGA, AV or even HDMI slots.
Because the Xbox Prestige is a concept, Dumary has creative freedom to go as crazy as he wants with the hardware. In a box smaller than the Xbox 360 S, the Prestige is a design that kills the optical disc and goes all digital. Games, videos and multimedia would be stored either in the Xbox cloud or on its 2TB hard drive. If the Xbox Prestige was real, it would have an eight-core processor, 3D, 4K2K resolution support, GPS and multiTV (DPConnect) support. We’re going to presume it would have the best and fastest graphics card on the planet, too.
Concepts: Gorgeous IR glass keyboard
This idea for a crazy glass keyboard that uses infrared lights and cameras to track your typing. Well, it’s real. What started out as a concept tossed out onto Kickstarter for donations is officially a thing. Tentatively called the “Multi-touch Keyboard,” the peripheral is Bluetooth wireless and sits on metal base (it’ll be connectable via USB too). An infrared LED projects a light onto the glass. An IR camera then picks up the scattered light particles that your finger touches would create — turning each touch into a registered press. Due to the glass nature of the keyboard, you can print out your own keyboard layout as well, which should be a godsend for video producers who anybody who heavily relies on keyboard shortcuts.
