Well known Swedish automotive company Volvo has

launched a new luxury compact SUV or a crossover in India

called Volvo XC60 that carries advanced technology, style,

comfort and performance better than its competitors in

India. The car like Volvo XC60 leaves a great impression in

any auto market. The compact SUV is made available in

India via CBU (Completely Built Units) route; the car is

produced in its Ghent-Belgium plant. The innovative

compact SUV of Volvo has been awarded with ‘SUV of the

year’ in UK, ‘Best SUV over $ 40,000′ in Australia, ‘Paul

Pietsch Award for City Safety’ and ‘Autoflotte Award in

Germany, Innovation for Safety Award in France, ”Golden

Klaxon”, the best compact crossover’ in Russia’, ‘Innovation

& Technology Award’ in Portugal, ‘Car of the Year with

special mention of safety award’ in Malaysia, etc.

The newly launched Volvo XC60 is powered by latest

generation 2.4 litre, 2400cc, 5 cylinder, D5 Twin-Turbo &

Peizo high-pressure technology diesel engine that churns out

a top power of 205 hp at 4000 rpm and returns maximum

torque of 420 Nm at 1500-3250 rpm with the help of six-

speed geartronic transmission gearbox. With the six speed

geartronic gearbox, the Volvo XC60 can touch 0-100 kmph

mark in just 8.9 seconds while the it takes 8.5 seconds to

chase the same sprint.
