Concepts: Nokia Lumia 920 Pureview

The Nokia Lumia 800 and 900 features a pretty unique design as far as phones are concerned. Admittedly they do feel pretty good in the hand plus the curved glass of the Lumia 800 is quite nice to touch, so we guess it’s not a complete surprise to discover this particular Lumia concept by Jonas Dahnert that has borrowed inspiration from the Lumia 800 and 900 (and subsequently the N9).
Dahnert has dubbed his creation the Lumia 920 and it will be a handset running on Windows Phone 8 Apollo. As far as the operating system is concerned, we’re not sure what Windows Phone 8 will look like just yet so we’re guessing that the rendering is probably just the designer taking creative liberties as opposed to being an accurate depiction.

There’s an interesting concept of a Nokia Lumia smartphone with PureView technology, which might become real with several adjustments.
Dubbed Nokia Lumia 920, the concept is made by Jonas Dahnert and packs a quad-core processor and a stunning 4.3-inch AMOLED HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution capacitive touchscreen display.
The design strongly resembles Lumia 800 and 900, but the Lumia 920 seems to be a bit thinner. Its 12-megapixel rear photo snapper features PureView technology and is capable of recording full HD (1080p) videos.
On the inside, Lumia 920 embeds 2GB of RAM, which might be overkill, as well as 32 or 64GB of internal memory. Obviously, this one won’t come with microSD card slot for memory expansion.
Last but not least, the phone will run Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system and it will drain energy from a high-capacity 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Concepts: Audi E-Bike

Unlike other electric bicycles, the Audi e-Bike concept is made for doing tricks and wheelies and of course, regular commuting. The bike is produced by using lightweight materials such as Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) in the frame and the wheels. The frame weighs only 3.53 pounds (1.6 kg) and the wheels weigh 1.32 lbs (0.6 kg), the entire bike weighs 46.3 lbs (21 kg) with the motor and lithium-ion battery pack.

The lithium-ion battery pack weighs 11 pounds and is housed in the bike frame and has a capacity of 530 Wh and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours using a 230V outlet. The Audi electric bicycle can be ridden in five modes, selected on a touch screen, with a “pure” mode that uses peddling as a power source to move the bike. Other modes consist of various levels of motor assistance with peddling, a pure electric mode, and most importantly, the “wheelie” mode, which I’m assuming assists with wheelies- a very handy mode for people like me that can’t do wheelies...
One of the highlights on the Audi stand is the bicycle technology concept known as the Audi e-bike Wörthersee – a sport bike that does not fit into any of the usual categories. It is neither a pedelec nor a conventional bike, but is best described as a high-end pedelec made by Audi for sport, fun and tricks. The Audi e-bike Wörthersee combines the Audi brand’s principal competences – design, ultra, connect and e-tron – and explores the limits of what is technically feasible in terms of design, lightweight construction, networking and electric mobility.

This show bike is futuristic at the very first glance – a bike for tomorrow and beyond. All its components, even the pedals, have been shaped by Audi’s designers, for instance the 26-inch wheels made from CFRP that weigh only 600 grams (1.32 lb) each and have innovative large-area blade-pattern spokes.

Bikes: Triumph Thruxton

Triumph Thruxton Price Is Rs. 9,00,000/-

There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the Triumph Thruxton is a true connoisseur’s bike, having been inspired by the Bonneville-based café racers of the 1960s and named after the Hampshire race track where the bike maker enjoyed so much success.
In terms of design, the Thruxton is about as classically designed as the word can get. The low slung handlebars exude an old-school attitude that belies its all-world, new-school performance. The central racing stripes are also a picture of design genius, as does the classic spoked, alloy-rimmed wheels and the overall cafe racer-inspired styling of the bike.
At the heart of the Thruxton is an 865cc eight-valve DOHC parallel-twin engine that has been tuned for peak performance, delivering an impressive 68bhp, thanks in large part to a revised camshaft profile and high-compression pistons. Make no mistake, motorcycles are designed to evoke emotions, and no motorcycle creates a bigger emotion than the Triumph Thruxton.

Bikes: Suzuki V-Strom 650

Suzuki V-Strom 650 Price Is Rs. 1,50,000/-

Suzuki revamped its popular V-Strom 650 for 2012 and it represents the street-biased side of the 2012 650 Adventure Touring Shootout. A muscular V-Twin sets the stage for the Wee-Strom which uses its extra power to its advantage. Total displacement is only 645cc but the additional cylinder from the 90-degree configuration really makes a difference. The V-Strom easily outpaces its single-cylinder competitors with a healthy 64.43 horsepower that comes at 9000 rpm, just 700 before the rev limiter kicks in. Perfect fueling from the EFI allows the rider to dial in exactly how much they need. The power pulls from way down in the rpm all the way to redline with maximum torque (42.7 lb-ft) coming at 6600 rpm. The torque curve is virtually flat, refusing to taper off until the it nears the 8000 rpm mark. This spread of torque is excellent for street and dirt use where riders can shift less often and make better use of the wide powerplant.

Bikes: Honda Fury VT1300CX

Honda Fury VT1300CX Price In India Is Rs. 13,00,000/-

The Fury shows a wild side of the Japanese giant like no other model before it. Here’s a Honda where function follows form, for once. And what a form this is. The VT is a mega motorcycle by any stretch of the imagination. Styling is classic chopper, so you get a front wheel that extends into tomorrow, heavily raked front forks, a low-slung rider saddle and a equator-wide wheelbase.
A closer look is required to study the many interesting details that make up the Fury. The manner in which the front fender hugs the classy, nine-spoke, 21-inch wheel particularly. Further up the forks, the small, chrome-encased headlight looks just right, going well with the bike’s minimalist front-end. The Fury is no sportsbike, so you can excuse the lack of a tachometer. What you will find though is a smart analogue speedometer that reads up to 180kph and a small digital readout for the odometer and trip gauge.
